Hi there, sweet friend!
With baby boy Charlie on the way, I’m obsessing over all things baby blue!
The baby blue maternity gown and the baby blue maternity pajamas below are both from one of my favorite online maternity destinations: Pink Blush. I love that Pink Blush is a one-stop-shop for preggo ladies! From maternity shoot gowns and breezy kimonos to comfy pajamas and delivery robes, Pink Blush has it all.
(psst… Pink Blush also has an extensive selection of items for babies & kiddos!)
*Keep scrolling for a quick little bumpdate now that I’m 33 weeks! *
I’m now officially 33 weeks & 1 day!
My bump is definitely measuring big, because baby boy is measuring in the 82nd percentile! Remember when he was in the 91st percentile at 19 weeks? He’s bound to be a big baby. (so say a prayer for my vagina, please!!) After attending a birthing class with Tom 2 weeks back, my mind is permanently scarred. I hadn’t been nervous about delivery AT ALL until we took that class. Now I’m kinda-sorta frightened. But more excited than anything!
As far as cravings are concerned, cheese is still my greatest vice! Organic shredded sharp cheddar from Whole Foods, to be exact.
Oh, and I eat it straight outta the bag…
It’s not pretty.
On a healthier note, I’ve also been craving spinach salads like crazy! I’ve eaten the exact same spinach salad from La Madeleine for lunch the past 3 days. And I’ll prob get it again tomorrow. It’s SO DARN DELICIOUS.
The nursery is still in utter disarray!
At this point it looks like a storage unit – it’s just boxes upon boxes upon boxes.
We received our nursery dresser last week (and we LOVE it!), but I’ll really get crankin’ on all-things-nursery once the crib and the glider arrive. With less than 7 weeks left, it’s definitely crunch time! I’m stressing a bit, but as long as Charlie doesn’t make an early appearance, I should be able to get the nursery done in time.
I’m so thankful to have found the most fabulous organizer here in Dallas: Lisa of Neat Freak McKinney! I have her booked for August 1st to help me organize the nursery to perfection. She’s SO talented!
Just yesterday I found a stretch mark on my left butt cheek, gosh darn it! I’m SO diligent about applying stretch mark cream or oil to my belly 2-3 times a day, but due to sheer laziness, I’ve been skipping my butt. Like I mentioned in this previous post, stretch marks have already made their appearance on my boobs. I’m shocked (and super thankful!) that my bump is still stretch mark free! Fingers crossed it stays that way. 🙂
Two of my sweet aunts threw Tom and I the SWEETEST family baby shower in Houston. Oh my goodness, it was such a delightful day! Celebrating baby Charlie with my nearest and dearest was something that I’ll treasure forever. 🙂
So what’s next on the agenda?
- Find a pediatrician.
- Write a birth plan. (Not even sure where to start with this? Any advice is appreciated!)
- Put baby things together (like the Rock ‘n Play, the Cradle ‘n Swing & the SNOO!)
- Read The Happiest Baby on the Block. (It’s been the most recommended book from friends & followers!)
- Remember to do my kegals (I keep forgetting… ha!)
