Confession: I don’t like rompers.
Since my legs are my least favorite body part, I rarely showcase my stems in short shorts or mini skirts. As you may have noticed, midis & jumpsuits are my jam. Even though rompers rarely make their way into my shopping cart, the sky-high Texas temps have me re-thinking my protest against the ever-so-popular playsuit. When I stumbled upon this off-the-shoulder stunner I figured that I should give the ol’ romper another shot.
Today’s blog post is extra fab because it includes 5 of my favorite blogger friends! We’ve partnered up to round-up our romper finds! We each found a silhouette that most flattered our individual physique so that we could share them all with you! You’re sure to find one that suits both your style and your shape.
#1 My Fave Romper For My Figure: Off-The-Shoulder Romper with Culotte-Cut Shorts
I chose this romper because I wanted to spotlight the shoulders and draw attention away from the legs. Breezy, culotte-cut shorts are most flattering for those that want to visually slim their thighs. When wearing shorts, I always choose this slightly flared silhouette. As a matter of fact, I wore a pair of blue and white culotte shorts last year for the 4th! I styled this look with my favorite nude sandals to elongate the look of the leg. (P.S. The heels are on sale!!)
#2 Amanda’s Fave Romper For Her Figure: Ruffle-Hem Romper
My sweet friend Amanda of The Miller Affect is tall and slim at 5’11 (lucky duck!) so she’s always on the hunt for rompers that have a little extra detailing toward the bottom. In this case, it’s the ruffle. Whether or not the detailing adds significant fabric and coverage, it most always makes the romper appear longer, a factor that Amanda says “can be just as important!”
#3: Brooke’s Fave Romper For Her Figure: Halter Top Romper
My friend Brooke of One Small Blonde has a perfectly petite frame that is so well-suited for rompers! Rompers are one of her go-to summer staples (and I can totally see why!) She chose this particular romper because the halter top draws the eye up so she appears a bit taller. Plus, the splashy print is sensational!
#4 Natalie’s Fave Romper For Her Figure: Elastic Waist Romper with Lengthier Shorts
My lovely friend Natalie of The Fashion Hour chose this palm print romper that highlighted her top and didn’t bring attention to her bottom. She prefers rompers that are a bit longer in the short (as do I!) and that cinch the waist with elastic to create an hourglass figure!
#5: Lynlee’s Fave Romper For Her Figure: Flowey Romper with Arm Coverage
Lynlee is my fab friend behind the blog Gal About Town and her style is so fun and full of life! She often prefers rompers that give a bit more coverage to the arms due to her broad shoulders. And how absolutely fab are her lace-up sandals?!
#6: Sage’s Fave Romper For Her Figure: Minimal Monochrome Romper
This black v-kneck romper is a simple stunner! My friend Sage of So Sage Blog prefers rompers that draw attention to her upper body, and this strappy top does just that. How fab are her neutral (yet eye-catching!) accessories?! I’m obsessed.
And that’s a wrap! Aren’t these ladies beyond amaze?!! I’m thankful for each and every one of them!
I hope you have a super happy Hump Day! Thank you for reading! xo
