I love it when edgy meets pretty. It is the quintessential pairing – a yin with a yang. Coupling distressed denim with feminine florals is a simple way to achieve a look that is visually interesting yet balanced.
Every frilly girl needs some edge in her wardrobe – to add some spice here and there. Distressed Denim can be your “edge-factor”. Throw on a pair of tattered trousers and you can add instant “oomph” to an otherwise girly look.
I am absolutely in love with these Citizens of Humanity jeans. Actually, I have always been impressed with the Citizen’s denim I have purchased . Each of my COH jeans are extremely comfortable and very true-to-size. I love nothing more than when a brand’s sizes don’t seem to waver. This makes ordering jeans online WAY more practical, because I am confident about the fit!
In addition to its subtle edge, ripped denim also imparts an “instant ease” to any ensemble. If you are feeling a little TOO fancy (if that is even possible?!) then a little distressed denim should do the trick. Or if your #ootd is feeling a bit stuffy — ripped jeans can be your rescue! Your outfit will read laid-back & laissez–faire in no time.
In the words of Lionel Richie, I felt “easy like a Sunday morning” while wearing this look. Well, perhaps it was because I had a Starbucks in hand, and it was a lovely Sunday morning after all. 🙂

P.S. If you are a DIY’er, you could totally take scissors to an old pair of jeans and rip ’em up yourself!
Happy Distressing! (Did anyone else catch the irony of that statement?!)
