What do you call a pop-up dinner party with Parisian-vibes, crisp-white linens and a finale of flashy fireworks?
That, my friends, is Diner en Blanc Dallas!
A tradition that originated across the pond in Paris (which sounds even more magical when pronounced “Paree”, don’t ya think?!), Diner en Blanc is an invite-only affair and a pop-up picnic of sorts. A picnic with A LOT of pomp and circumstance, that is! All attendees must dress in head-to-toe white (note to self: take a Tide to-go pen next year…) and the location is kept hush-hush until the very last second.
It was an absolute thrill to take part in Dallas’ inaugural Diner en Blanc. The Continental Bridge was this year’s clandestine pop-up spot with breathtaking views of the Trinity River and a lovely, much-needed breeze! Dining alfresco at such a picturesque local made for a delightful evening of wine glass clinking and Dallasite mingling, with the over 1,500 others in attendance! If you don’t live in DFW, you can check out the list of cities across the world that partake in Diner en Blanc HERE. 🙂
Now for my most favorite part, the clothes.
From freshly-pressed linen suits to grandiose gowns, the all-white ensembles blanketed the bridge like snow.
I am absolutely crazy about the culotte jumpsuit I chose for the event. Cheers to the fabulous person that put an end to all that no-white-after-Labor-Day nonsense, right?! I plan on wearing this jumpsuit no matter the month!
If not attending Diner en Blanc, I would suggest you switch up the shoes to keep it more fitting for fall. I’ve been admiring these rose gold pumps for a while now. I’m absolutely sure that they would be the most darling complement to this culotte cuteness. Plus, the rose gold chain accents on the shoulders of the jumpsuit would pull it all together perfectly.
To add a little edge to my ensemble, I sprung for this ear chain and a choker. Anyone else going gaga for chokers, lately?! I can’t seem to get enough… as seen HERE & HERE & even HERE (O my, I guess I’m obsessed!)
Ok, so now that we’ve covered the clothes, I have a few more photos to share from the elegant (and super fun!) evening… 🙂
