I’m sitting down to write this final baby bumpdate right after getting back from my 38 week OB/GYN appointment. It went very well (I’m dilated 3 cm), and I’m SO EXCITED about the days ahead! I’m officially 38 weeks and 3 days today, and we’ve scheduled an induction date of this coming Sunday the 19th (when I’m 39 weeks)! Eek!
Baby Charlie is about to make his debut!!!
Here’s a little update on life since 33 weeks. 🙂
Charlie’s nursery is officially completed!! It’s the best feeling in the world. I was getting nervous that it wouldn’t come together but, as many of you so kindly reassured me, it all worked out just perfectly! I’m shooting photos of his nursery with the oh-so-fabulous Stephanie Drenka today, and I plan to reveal the nursery here on FashionAndFrills.com this Friday! (as long as Charlie doesn’t surprise us and arrive beforehand…!)
My salad cravings have continued! Like I mentioned in my 33 week bumpdate, I was majorly craving La Madeleine’s spinach salad ALL THE TIME. I ate it for days and days and days…
Well, after overdoing it on that spinach salad, I moved on to Mi Cocina’s Rico Salad (ordered without tortilla chips to keep it low carb…) I ate a Rico Salad every single day for lunch for 9 days straight, I kid you not. Currently I’m all about the Southwestern Salad at Unleavened Kitchen. It’s SO GOOD. I love the mixed greens. And, now that I’m thinking about it, that salad might just have to be my dinner tonight. 🙂
Sleep has become a struggle! Up until about 2 weeks ago, pregnancy was an absolute breeze. With no morning sickness, indigestion or back pain, I’ve felt extremely blessed this entire pregnancy!! But, as I’m nearing the end, random aches and painful twinges have begun to pop up, and the sleep situation is rough. I find myself waking up every 1.5-2 hours to pee. That makes a good night’s sleep difficult to achieve…
But, no complaints here! Sleep or no sleep, I’m still happy as a clam as we await our baby’s arrival! Sure, I’m lacking sleep, but I’m overflowing with giddy excitement!
What I’m Wearing
Remember this recent blog post featuring a palm print kimono? Well, I loved the ease of that ensemble so much that I bought the same dress in coral and the kimono in 3 more prints! The dress looks more “orange” than “coral” in these photos. But, rest assured, it’s definitely coral! (P.S. This kimono runs large! I’m wearing a size small. It’s not maternity. It would make the most fabulous beach cover-up!)
What’s left to do?
Butttt, we still haven’t installed the car seat! We have the Doona infant car seat in the trunk of the car… still uninstalled. Yikes! It’s on my to-do list for tomorrow, I promise. 🙂
