Hey there, lady!
Are you ready to take your wow-factor up a notch or two?
A quintessential statement piece, the cape is a surefire way to add a dash of drama to your current closet lineup. No matter your wherabouts, you’ll make both a dramatic entrance and exit while donning this eye-catching cape.
This isn’t the first, and it’s most definitely not the last, occasion that I’ve gone cape crazy. See HERE & HERE for evidence. This particular cape by C/MEO Collective (aka: one of my MOST FAVORITE clothing labels of all time) epitomizes both sophistication and sass. Needless to say, it’s my current cape crush. Although it’s sold out in the color black, it’s still available in the most perfect winter white that will totally help you channel your inner Olivia Pope. Also, C/MEO Collective offers a dreamy cape dress variation in the exact same cut. It’s simply stunning and still available in black.
Reminiscent of a bold blazer, this cape is the most feminine way to rock the menswear trend, especially when paired with a some sensational slim trousers. You’ll be feeling like a #girlboss in no time. Or, perhaps more like superwoman. It is a cape, after all!
Since I was in a ladylike state of mind, I chose to pair it with the most perfect ponte pencil skirt I’ve found to date. This skirt is not only classy beyond belief but also crazy comfy – it has just the right amount of stretch. It has quickly become the skirt that I reach for time and time again. The style and the fit are perfection. To be totally transparent, I may have worn it to work 3 days in a row last week… but, I mean, I changed my top and my tights so…
Now, let’s take this look from head to toe and talk about these pumps for a quick sec. If you’ve been on the prowl for the most perf holiday pumps to no avail, don’t get your tinsel in a tangle quite yet. I’ve found ’em for you. These red heels are hot hot hot. When it comes to these particular pumps, the party is totally in the back. Be sure to check out the photo at the bottom of this post to get a glimpse at the gawwwgeous gold detailing that isn’t visible from the front of the shoe.
So now that I’ve spilled all of my outfit deets, I need to let you in on my new online shopping secret:
Online shoppers, rejoice!
Lyon & Post is truly revolutionizing the e-commerce experience by enabling us shoppers to try on merchandise at home prior to purchase. Offering on-trend items from swoon-worthy brands (Vince, Equipment & DVF to name a few), Lyon & Post offers label-lovin’ ladies the best of both online and in-store shopping.
I gave this new service a spin by ordering the skirt and cape from this post through Lyon & Post, in addition to an army green trench and a striped midi dress. The items arrived wrapped up in a perfectly packaged box (as seen in the photo above) with easy to understand instructions. After trying on the items in the comfort of my own apartment (and taking a mirror selfie or 2… naturally), I found that the trench and the dress didn’t suit my style, but the black pencil skirt was a score! I sent back the items I didn’t like, at no cost to me, and I was only charged for what I kept. It was a easy-breezy.
