I woke up this past Friday to crisp air, autumnal vibes & and a hankering for all things plaid! As a Dallas girl, you never really know when this much anticipated fall-snap will take place. With temps reaching 96 degrees earlier last week, fall feelings were few and far between. I had plans to head down to Waco with the hubs for our first Baylor football game of the season, so the brisk October breeze blew in right in time!
Nothing tops tartan when it comes to fall fabric! This plaid button down is spot on for the season and the epitome of versatility. I’ll be rockin’ this top all the way through December (perhaps I’ll match my Christmas stocking?!) and getting my money’s worth no doubt! Plus, there’s something about a relaxed fall flannel that makes me want to sit fireside and soak up everything that the season has to offer!
Although plaid is far from plain, pairing it with a snazzy striped turtleneck ups the fun-factor a bit and makes for an eye-catching combo. Layering is like the love language of your fall wardrobe. The more layers the better! So pull out your plaid and layer up with some stripes!
I kept it fairly neutral on bottom with a faux leather skirt in a dusty, olive green and my favorite fall booties. Next on the agenda, I think I’ll wear this print pairing with distressed denim , OTK boots & a felt hat. You can never have too many fall vibes 🙂
So, cheers to the chill in the air, the crunch of leaves beneath your boots and, of course, to the pumpkin spice latte! It finally feels like fall, after all!
