I am so so (SO!!) happy to announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby! Baby Beauchamp is due August 26, 2018. We are incredibly excited! We have prayed for this baby, and this little one is truly a gift from God.

Oh goodness, this secret has been a hard one to keep! I don’t like keeping secrets from you; it’s not any fun! So it’s such a joy to finally share this news!
I’m currently 13 weeks & 3 days, so let me catch you up on the past few months…
I haven’t had any morning sickness at all! This has been an unexpected blessing. No nausea, just LOTSA hunger. I used to go hours and hours without eating if it was a busy day, and now that is literally unimaginable.
I’ve decided to be gluten-free & dairy-free throughout this pregnancy. But, guess what I’ve been craving like a crazy person? HAM PANINIS. So random.
Thank goodness I found this gluten free keto bread at Unrefined Bakery here in Dallas. It has been a literal lifesaver for this panini-obsessed mama-to-be. I throw some organic Applegate ham onto the Keto bread with Italian seasoning and avocado, sear it for a few minutes in our Breville indoor grill/panini maker, and I’m a happy woman!
Funny Side Note: Upon finding out that I was pregnant, the nurse went over all the basics with me, including what I can’t eat. When she told me that I could continue to eat lunchmeat only if I nuked it in the microwave for 45 seconds to kill any potential listeria, I just about gagged. EW. Microwaved lunchmeat? No way. Sounds nasty. Right..?
Well, sure enough, there I was 2 days later microwaving organic ham at least once a day in order to satiate my newfound ham panini obsession…
It’s not as gross as it sounds, I promise. 🙂
And, as for sweets, this So Delicious no sugar added coconut milk ice cream has become a part of my daily diet. 🙂 Oh my gosh, it’s good. And only 1 gram of sugar per serving!!! I love the chocolate, vanilla & mint chip. Dairy-free deliciousness at its finest.
I’m finally getting some energy back, folks! These past few months have been filled with A LOT of naps (and even more tv…)
I’ve watched 6 seasons of both Gilmore Girls & 30 Rock. And 1.5 seasons of Ugly Betty. And that doesn’t even factor in my current HGTV obsession (there’s nothing quite like a good Fixer Upper marathon, am I right?!) Plus a few cheesy Hallmark movies here & there.
Like I said, I’m feeling more energized this week and I’m super happy about that (because my ever growing to-do list is LONG!)
Yep, my jeans don’t fit and I don’t mind a bit! 🙂
My mom ordered me my first pair of maternity leggings and I’ve worn them nearly every day since they arrived in the mail. So roomy. So stretchy. I LOVE.
I’ve also purchased a size up in my forever favorite Nordstrom Moonlight Pajamas. I got 3 colors – it’s all I want to sleep in lately.
Pregnant or not, YOU NEED THESE PJs. They’re butter-soft.
The past few months have been both incredibly joyful and, to be completely honest, a little scary. Everything has been smooth sailing (thanks to God!) with no complications or concerns; however, my own fears have crept up more than I would have anticipated.
For instance, after googling “how long do I need to microwave lunchmeat pregnant” (I told you I’ve been craving those paninis like NO OTHER…) I ended up stumbling upon some scary pregnancy anecdotes on a baby forum that ultimately filled my mind with all sorts of fear.
To combat these worries, I start each morning with Jesus Calling. It’s incredible what peace it brings to my day. Remembering that God is 100% in control of this sweet little life resets my mind and calms my anxious thoughts. No matter your season of life, I highly recommend this devotional.
Finally, I want your thoughts on something. The last thing I would EVER want to do is isolate those that don’t have kiddos by posting WAY TOO MUCH baby gear, maternity wear, pregnancy updates, etc… here on FashionAndFrills.com. Before I became pregnant I was always kind of bummed when a blogger seemed to switch their posting over to 100% baby content because I just couldn’t relate. But, at the same time, this is where I am in life, so I’m going to be spending all my time reading baby books, buying stretchy pants & scouring reviews for strollers…
so how much of this stuff do you guys want to hear?
Be honest in the comments, because I REALLY CARE and I want this to be a place that everyone can enjoy. 🙂
Hugs to you,
