Muffins, donuts, ice cream & cookies…. all VERY LOW-SUGAR?!!
Having lived a low carb lifestyle for quite a few years, I’ve found some TRIED & TRUE nutritious dessert dupes that are so tasty you’ll be shocked! You’d think that a low-sugar life would mean saying sayonara to daily sweets and treats. But, nopeee! I eat donuts for breakfast and (coconut milk) ice cream for dessert!
Read on for 5 of my favorite low carb desserts. (NO COOKING REQUIRED!!!)
5 VERY Low Sugar Desserts That I Eat Often:
1. Cinnamon Streusel Donuts // Sugar Free, Low Carb, Gluten Free, Grain Free
It was a happy accident that I stumbled upon these heavenly cinnamon streusel donuts a few years back. I was searching Etsy for low carb dessert recipes and happened upon ShannonsSugarFree Etsy Store (and my low carb life was forever changed for the better…!) I’ve been stocking up on her guilt-free sweets ever since. Her low carb treats are both SATISFYING & delicious. They’re made with natural sweeteners, erythritol and stevia, and never with any chemical sweeteners. Also, since they’re made with coconut and almond flours, these low carb donuts will keep you full much longer than sugar & carb-heavy donuts from Shipley’s, Dunkin’s or Krispy Kreme.
Shannon and her husband have adopted two little boys from China. The sweetest part about shopping her Etsy store is that the proceeds help fund their last adoption and the boys’ medical expenses.

2. Blueberry Mini Muffins // Sugar Free, Low Carb, Gluten Free, Grain Free
Did anyone else love the packages of blueberry mini muffins when they were a kid? My mom was pretty strict on keeping food healthy while I was growing up so I would stare longingly at my friends’ lunchboxes when I spotted their blueberry mini muffins. They shared a few muffins with me throughout the years so I know that they ARE GOOD. Well, I’ve found a healthy dupe for those tasty little muffins! These keto-friendly, sugar-free mini blueberry muffins are DELICIOUS. These are another ShannonsSugarFree find from Etsy. She offers these mini muffins in 7 flavor options: banana nut, pumpkin, vanilla, vanilla chocolate chip, chocolate chip nut, pumpkin walnut & blueberry. I’ve only ordered blueberry, but pumpkin walnut is sitting in my shopping cart as I type.
*Update: I have since ordered the vanilla chocolate chunk mini muffins, and OMG, they are HEAVEN. They’re even better than the blueberry! I highly recommend them!
3. Nui Cookies // Low Carb, Only 1 Gram Sugar, Non-GMO
Holy Moly, chocolate chip Nui Cookies are absolutely remarkable!!! You won’t believe that there’s only 1 measly gram of sugar per serving (which is 2 whole cookies!!)
In these photos I’m holding the Snickerdoodle version of the Keto Kookie. To be honest, it’s not my favorite. I already ate all the chocolate chip, so Skickerdoodle had to suffice for these blog shots. 🙂 I highly recommend you snag the chocolate chip first & foremost. I haven’t yet tried the peanut butter or double chocolate, but I’ll order some now and give you a review over on my Instagram soon!
Psst… I like to heat my chocolate chip Nui Cookies in the microwave for about 12-15 seconds so that they’re ooey-gooey scrumptious. It makes them taste like they’re straight out of the oven.
4. Chocolate Dipped Coconut Milk Bars // No Sugar Added, Less than 1 Gram of Sugar
Kick your Klondike Bars to the curb my friend, there’s a dairy-free (just as delicious) dessert in town! These Frozen Chocolate Dipped Coconut Milk Bars are HEAVEN. They do not taste healthier than your average ice cream bar AT ALL. But they are. I usually pick them up at our local Whole Foods, but I’ve also had them delivered via Amazon Prime Now!
With only 1 gram of sugar per bar, I indulge in these OFTEN. Maybe too often. 🙂 I like that these bars offer portion control by keeping my post-dinner dessert to a 150 calorie maximum.
5. Coconut Milk Ice Cream Pint // No Sugar Added, Only 1 Gram of Sugar per Serving
But sometimes you’ve got to throw caution to the wind and forgo portion control all together…
I mean, nothing’s quite like eating straight out of the pint, am I right? Throw in some Netflix and I’m a really happy girl. 🙂

Anywho, these pints taste like a major splurge, but there’s only 1 gram of sugar per serving. That’s 4 grams of sugar in the whole darn pint! The mint chip is my favorite (Tom’s too!), but both the plain chocolate and vanilla bean are fantastic as well. Especially when you drizzle them with my favorite ZERO CALORIE chocolate syrup!! Remember the stuff that I love on my sugar-free & dairy-free chocolate toffee latte? Yep, it’s even better on ice cream. Duh.
