Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here, sweet friends!
Are you ready to start those engines and snag the best of the best sale finds before they’re gone? Vroom Vroom.
If you’re a Nordstrom card holder, now’s your chance to get in on the action early! The classic closet staples and the “OMG, that’s-really-on-sale? stunners” always sell out quickly so shopping the first day you have access is my recommendation. As a matter of fact, a few things that I had on my wish list were already sold out in my size today, and the Early Access sale hadn’t even officially started for heaven’s sake!! I guess that all of the overachievers already swiped ’em, gosh darn it!
Clearly, when it comes to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, we’re playing in the big leagues, my peeps!
Perhaps I’m being presumptuous, but I can confidently say that the dreamy lace top in the photo below is proof that this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going to rock your socks off (even if you aren’t wearing any…!)
You can also shop the fab assortment of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale moto jackets, but I can’t find this particular purple hue for some reason? I just purchased it at Anniversary Sale price today so I’ll keep you posted if it pops up again online! However, I did find this exact moto jacket from the photos in a gorgeous mint green color! Isn’t she a beaut?
I’m wearing a small in the jacket for reference! 🙂
The Marc Fisher sandals pictured directly above (that I love SO SO much) are most definitely included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Wahoo! They’re comfy as a cloud (I sized down a 1/2 size, btw), and, the best part is that they elongate the leg like no other!! They’re basically magic. I intend to wear them as often as possible, hehe.
So now, let’s take it from the top:
I was so thrilled to be invited to preview (and shop!) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yesterday (aka: a day before Early Access began, which is today!); therefore, now I can give you the lowdown on what’s worth your moolah and what just looks pretty on the hanger. I’ve got you, girl.
I will 100% say that I was more impressed with the selection this year as compared to last year. The 2016 Anniversary Sale felt a bit, meh.
Needless to say, this year, my dressing room was stuffed to the brim with cuteness for hours (and hours!) this afternoon until I sifted through all the fun and found my absolute favorites! (I’m not complaining, trust me!!)
I’ll be ordering more things to try on from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale online STAT, but today I was only able to try things that were available immediately in the Nordstrom Northpark store.
Psst, Here’s an insiders shopping tip: From now until August 8th, every single Nordstrom store will be straight up cray-cray! If you choose to enter, do so at your own risk. I’m actually one of those weirdos that loves a busy mall, but most people don’t…
I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase all of your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks online and then choose “pick up in-store” either when you initially select your item or when you’re at online checkout (you can also filter your search by nearby store to see what particular items your neighborhood Nordstrom has in stock!)
This is precisely how I shop Nordstrom these days! I’ve been doing it this way for a few years now. It skips lines, avoids dressing rooms (that bad lighting though…) & makes the shopping process easy as pie. And, OMG, get ready for a game-changer! Did you know that Nordstrom offers curbside pick-up? AKA: You never have to leave your car!!! A Nordstrom associate will bring your Nordy bags right to your vehicle so you don’t have to step foot in the store.
I mean, who doesn’t love that kind of convenience?
The ultimate reason why ordering online to pick up in store makes sense, is that Nordstrom’s return policy is SO FREAKING FANTASTIC!
Let’s say you order 10 items to pick up in your local Nordstrom store. You love 6 purchases and you hate 4 of them. Well, there isn’t any pressure to take back your no-go’s right away! If you want the money refunded asap, of course you can take them back to your local Nordy’s right away. Or, you can even hold onto those items as long as you’d like (quite literally). Then, return them when you have time. (Can you tell that I’m not a fan of the 30-day return window that some other retailers enforce?!)
For instance, just 3 days ago I returned a dress that I found in my closet from over a year ago. They took it back, no questions asked. As long as you have proof of purchase, you’re GOLDEN. Customer service is totally Nordstrom’s jam. And that’s what keeps me coming back again and again.
…and then AGAIN.
Wow, that was a reallyyyy long tip. (sheesh!)
Moving on, I promise.
The outfit below is what I wore to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale press preview today! The doubled up embroidery makes it such a statement-maker. Even the Nordstrom Northpark manager was kind enough to ask for a picture with me because she loved the look! Made my day. 🙂
Off the Shoulder Sweater (You save $70!)
Same Cut Boyfriend Jeans in Lighter Hue (You save $94!)
Marc Fisher Sandals in both beige and black (You save $60!)
I LOVE (and I mean, L-O-V-E) a cozy off the shoulder sweater! It’s a fall and winter staple that I end up wearing like 3 times a week (maybe more like 4…) come Christmastime in Texas. Not kidding. That’s why I bought the cashmere off the shoulder sweater I’m wearing above in 2 different colors! Is it a crime if I want all four?
Please tell me it’s not…
The sweater is insanely soft (I mean, IT IS CASHMERE.) and it’s crazy-affordable for the quality! The last cashmere sweater I owned was over twice the price so this purchase is a no-brainer.
Btw, I purchased this sweater in both a small and a medium. The beige sweater I’m wearing in this photo is a small. But, for an even slouchier fit, I purchased the grey version in a medium. And it’s oh-so-cozy…
Not to be long-winded, but can we talk about these boyfriend jeans, too? Their official name is “The Ex-Boyfriend Slim”. I’m picky (and I’m talking picky with a capital “P”!) when it comes to my denim purchases. As I’ve alluded to in the past, my thighs aren’t my fave. So I try to flatter them as much as possible. And these distressed boyfriend jeans are my bae…
I’m wearing a size 27 (and they run large so size down!) I’m more of a true 28 these days. I used to be a true 27 about 2 years ago, so that’s not fun to admit since I’ve gone up a size, but I’m always going to be real with you! I’m working on my fitness journey again, and excited to get back to the same place as soon as I can. But, for now, these size 27 jeans (that, like I said, definitely run large!) make me REAL HAPPY.
I hunted for these jeans on Nordstrom.com and it looks like they’re only available in a lighter hued denim on their site?! <<Blast!>> I like the light shade, but I’m very surprised that this exact denim wash isn’t available since I purchased them TODAY from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. You can, however, buy these exact AG jeans in the very same dark hue I’m wearing via Revolve.com! Revolve is one of my favorite retailers, so give these boyfriend jeans a looksie, HERE. 🙂
Colorblock Cardigan (You save $28!)
Stretchiest, Most Comfy Layering Top in 3 Colors (You save $17!)
Black Raw Hemmed Denim (You save $67!)
Pearl Slides (You save $30!)
The outfit above is comprised entirely of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale goodness!
The colorblock cardigan I’m wearing above is a surprisingly chic little number. It was nearly sold out when I snagged it in-store! Keep in mind, this was BEFORE the Early Access shoppers could even shop. So, wowza. This one is the popular kid, that’s for sure. It runs large (which I love…doy.) as I’m wearing a size 4 and I typically wear a 6 or 8 in topshop as it tends to run small due to UK sizing. Definitely size down in this cutie!
I styled this cardigan above the stretchiest, most comfortable long sleeve top on the planet. Let’s just call it the most incredible layering piece you’ll ever have in your closet, ever. It’s softer and comfier than every PJ I own. No exaggeration. I love it so much that I bought it yesterday in grey too! I’m wearing a medium for reference.
As for the denim, these slanted hem black skinnies are HAWWWT. They’re a part of Paige Denim’s Transcend line that I seriously love. Their Transcend denim is the comfiest and it’s created to flatter. (Ummm, yes.) Btw, I’m wearing a size 28 (I told you that was my real number, womp.) But they’re incredibly slimming so if you’re like me and like to minimize the thighs, you’ll love ’em!!
Last, but most definitely NOT LEAST, these pearl slides are KILLER! Remember when I wore the pink pearl open-toe slides HERE? Well, these cuties are just as fab and so perf for fall and winter! At only $59.90, I’m utterly obsessed.
