Happy FriYAY, gal pal!
Any fun plans on the agenda? I plan on spending my weekend happy at home cleaning and organizing and (let’s be honest…) going on a shopping trip or two! After being out of town the past 4 weekends, nothing sounds more perfect than an easy weekend-in with the hubs. 🙂
Keeping with the weekend theme, today’s post is from my Sunday in New York during NYFW. I was so happy to attend the most beautiful rooftop blogger brunch! And, although the bold stripes of my look didn’t really match the ethereal decor of the tablescape, this Moschino dress was too fun not to don! Thank you, Rent The Runway!
This dress is lotsa loud and lotsa fun! I paired it with these simple red slides, because, to be completely honest, my feet needed a break after trekking across town for 3 straight days in NYC. These red slip-ons are so easy to style with just about anything (they’re also avail in classic black!) and they’re comfy as can be! Plus, I love the look of a midi or a maxi with a flat. It feels fresh.
Now for the deets of the day-
The day started off with hair by Stylisted. My stylist, Tracey, was such a sweetheart! She gave me a sleek, middle-parted pony that kept my hair out of my face all day long. This was a life-saver.
Then, I headed off to the Haven Rooftop for an afternoon of brunching with fellow blogger friends! It’s always so fun to catch up and connect. How gawwwgeous was the setup?! The florals were heaven. A huge thanks to Amanda Miller, Tara Gibson & Lauren LeFevre for hosting! The bites and sips were super yum and we each left with a Henri Bendel bag filled to the brim with goodies!
I headed back to my hotel to say a quick hello to the hubby and then I was off to the Jenny Packham show. Her designs always epitomize decadence – embellishments, embroidery & gowns, gowns, gowns! Since I’m a self-proclaimed fancy pants when it comes to dressing- I love nothing more. Bring it on, sister!
After the show I met up with Tom for the tastiest salmon dinner at Covina. (Actually, I got the salmon, and he got a prosciutto arugula pizza that I eyed with envy the entire meal!!) I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the city. It was DIVINE and the atmosphere was warm with a hint of trendy. I knew that the next day (Monday!) was booked up like crazy with meetings and events so it was nice to fit in one last date night with my favorite guy before the busyness of the next week began. 🙂
Have the happiest weekend and stay tuned for more Fashion Week posts next week! Hugs! xo
